Lesson 11

 November 5, 2020

When I was young my family heard about land in the west. After much excitement and prayer, we decided to head west. We started impatiently packing everything we could fit in our wagon. we had to leave much behind. With excitement no knowing what we was ahead bid Farwell to our friends and family who were staying behind, unaware of if we would ever see them again.  When we were finished after many tears we head off for our new home.

On our journey we faced many hardships. At first it was not unbearably hard. But later on we started to face harder things. We faced Indians, who were tall and towered above us. And raging storms that because they shrieked in our ears frightened the horses, as well as rivers flooded with water were, we could just hold our breaths and pray that we would not drown. It was hard but we survived.

Finely our eyes witnessed the sight of the land we had journeyed so long to see. we were safe. we had lost much of our property, but we were thankful to the god who helped us, and we were gratified. We had a worm and Harty meal of corn bread and stew and sang praises to god for our safe journey. the trip to the west was risky and hard but we persevered all the way.
